Tom de Piet/ Tom, our Black Piet

Sinterklaastijd is elk jaar weer een feest. De jongens begrijpen steeds wat het feest is en helpen mee met schoenenvullen. Hier is Piet Tom alles mooi aan het voorbereiden.

Sint Nicolas time is a great time of creativity and as custom is in Holland the black pete's fill shoes with some nice sweeties (it may sound bad, but it is a nice custom). Tom has taken the role of black pete and prepares something nice for the others in the house.

Pepernoten bakken/ Baking peppernuts

Oma had wat kruiden mee genomen, zodat er weer pepernoten gebakken konden worden, want dat is wel nodig in de Sinterklaas-tijd.

Granny has brought some spices. so we could bake peppernuts (or little gingerbread cookies), because Dutch people like that when Saint Nicolas is coming.

Dancing boys

De jongens hadden een speciale show voor oma georganiseerd. Een dansshow van twee grote talenten.

De boys had prepared a special show for granny. A danceshow of two great talents.

Pannenkoeken eten met oma/ Pancakes with granny

Oma is gekomen, dus tijd om een feestje te vieren met pannenkoeken.

Granny is in Krnov for a visit, so this was a reason for a party with pancakes.

Tom's birthday

Tom is vandaag 8 geworden, dus moest er een taart gemaakt worden (een mooie basketbal) en natuurlijk kados en kaarten.

Tom has his 8th birthday, so time for a party with a nice cake (basketball) and cards and presents.

Lampje/ little lamp

Veiligheid is belangrijker dan schoonheid, dus met een maf hoofdlampje ben ik maar op pad gegaan.

Safety is more important than beauty, so with a weird headlight I have been on the bike.

Mat's birthday

Feest! Mat heeft vandaag zijn verjaardag (10!), dus was het vanochtend groot feest.

Partytime! Mat has his birthday (10!), so we have started early with partying.
