Een gat in het hoofd/ A painful face

Soms hebben de jongens goede ideeen en soms wat minder goede ideeen. Trefbal in een kleine kamer, is niet al te handig en dat heeft Mat aan den lijve ondervonden. Hij gleed uit en viel op zijn hoofd op het bed en moesten we maar even naar het ziekenhuis voor een hechting (en controle/ rontgenfoto). Het ziet er erger uit, Mat heeft niet teveel last, het was alleen jammer dat hij nu zijn florbal-toernooi moest missen.

Sometimes the boys have great ideas, sometimes, the ideas are not that great. Playing vybenena indoors in a small room is not the best idea as Mat experienced. He slipped and fell with his head on the bed, so we had to go the hospital for a stitch and some check-ups. It looks worse than it is, Mat has not too many problems, the sad things is that he could not play at his first florball tournament.

Tom is een grote vent geworden en in navolging van Mat wil nu graag tosti's maken. De eerste keer vergat hij wel wat dingen, maar nu is hij een expert en is zeer tevreden met zijn eigen werk.

Tom is a big boy now and following Mat, he wants to make his own toasts. The first time he forgot some important things, but now he is an expert, who is very satisfied with his own work.

Normaal gesproken gaan we met het hele gezin op zoek naar caches (schatten), maar nu was ik (Peter) alleen op retreat en ben zelf gaan zoeken. Een leuke onderneming en weer eens gezien hoe mooi Tsjechie is.

Normally we look for caches with the whole family, but I was on a retreat and looked on my own. It was a great time out in the nature and it is wonderful to see how beautiful the Czech republic is.

Kinderdag/ Children's day

Tom had een basketbal-wedstrijd, maar Mat is met Christa naar de kinderdag in Detrichov geweest (daar wonen vrienden, dus daarom wisten we van deze actie). Het thema was ridders en dus mocht Mat gaan zwaardvechten en andere ridderzaken aanpakken.

Tom had to play a basketbal-game, so only Mat and Christa went to the Children's day in Detrichov (a little village where we have friends living). The theme of the day was "knights" and this meant that Mat could have a swordfight and other knights-thingies.

Schommel/ Swing

Sinds een paar dagen hebben we een simpele schommel buiten hangen en de jongens willen de hele dag wel schommelen (het is heerlijk weer).

We have a simple swing and the boys love to go on the swing at any time, it is nice weather so they do this the whole day.

Autowassen/ Carwash

Tom is een grote vent die nu mee heeft geholpen met het wassen van de auto. Niet alleen het waterspuiten wilde hij doen, maar ook het echte boenen en schrobben.

Tom is a big boy that helps to wash the car. Not just with the hose, but also manually washing the car.

Captain Tom Sparrow

Tom kijkt graag naar Pirates of the Caribbean en heeft zich verkleed als captain Jack Sparrow (hoofdfiguur in films). Hij is zelfs op zoek geweest naar een pruik om zo meer op de echte captain te lijken.

Tom likes to watch Pirates of the Caribbean and has dressed up as captain Jack Sparrow (main character in the movies). He even went out to get a wig to look more like the captain.
